I wasn't motivated to race tonight, but seeing this many people not joining the race I changed my mind and will race.
I will only have 20 mins or so to practice, but I should be able to drive the car safely around the track anyway.
@Stephan Also I think Iracing can't make a proper use of a CPU with plenty of cores.
I have a 9700k (8cores) and I think my CPU is used only at around 50% (my GPU isn't bottlenecking as it's a 2080 TI, also only used at around 50%).
Others can reply if I'm wrong.
I can see that we all have different opinions, because for me, what's very sad is people of a lower class fighting as hard as they can to defend from a higher class driver, when the higher class driver is clearly faster (and is behind because of an incident for example).
I don't expect them to...
=> All fine !
Wild Card round?
=> Maybe do not let the reserve drivers voting ?
As other said, Pro class was small and Pro/Am really big
I just don't like the overall ranking when we are divided in class.
Yeah too bad that happened, race was fun otherwise. At one point I decided to stop fighting you because we were loosing time to the car in front, and you were as fast as me, if not faster. Sadly I made a mistake trying to save fuel and lost your draft. Then caught you again when you were slowed...
Short version: I braked approximately at my usual braking point for pit entry, not anticipating the car in front slowing down a little earlier.
I thought that the gap with the car in front @Walter---79 was enough to use my usual braking point for entering the pits, but...
@Walter---79 Not sure if you saw my insim apologies, sorry for the bump in the pit lane entry. I saw in the replay that you got damage impacting your top speed.
You slowed down with a bigger margin that I expected, and I went in too much on the limit. But I probably should have been more careful...
You can include yourself in it, because you span in turn 3 (right hairpin), and while trying to avoid you I got hit and sent into the grass :ROFLMAO:.
Then I got hit by netcode when trying to overtake Alex.
Then I span by myself trying to gain back the time lost.
Then I went off the track trying...
In qualifying, I was at -0.35s in my 2nd attempt but lost it all in the chicane => Good P15 anyway, behind Alex Bennett @Curly.
Lost control of the car in the early laps while trying to avoid a incident in front of me after the chicane. Dropped down to 36th place :(
Then I tried to gain back as...
I guess yes if you have practiced enough to be safe, which I'm sure you are able to :)
We didn't talked much about the race with Merlin yet, but I'll try to check with him tonight, to see if he has already some contacts that want to do the race or not.
Also, I don't know what car he wants to use.
Hi, what are your iratings ? Are you both experienced in endurance races ?
@Merlin Cooper and I were thinking about running in the event, but we need reliable and safe drivers. I had issues in the past with either untrained or agressive drivers, which isn't compatible with an endurance race.
Edit : Btw I'm just telling my own opinion, I'm not a steward. But as I agree with them, I'm explaining my reasoning.
Here is the video from the outside from the collision moment:
He is not half a meter in front. Almost all his car is in front.
It was decided "No further action" because you...
