We have not decided on a 'cut-off point' in terms of switching to 2 tiers as yet. (Hoping there is enough sign ups to get at least 30 per tier.Do you think it´s a good idea to split the field into 2 tiers if we don´t hit at least 50 sign-ups?
But yes, I agree with you, that finishing with only 15 (or less) in a race is very poor.
We certainly need an incentive to have ppl finish the races. I'd like to think the points would be more than enough, but in the past, that's not been the case.
Perhaps Driver rating = ON might help (a little)
Or maybe even going as far as: Anyone not finishing a race, will be moved to reserve instead of main driver. (with 1 Tier, and plenty of reserves - That would be good if that kept ppl in till the end, but a bit rubbish for the many reserves not getting to drive.)
It's a rather tricky one tbh, as I would obviously want as many ppl driving as possible. However, in the past many Main drivers + Reserve drivers don't show up, giving far more spaces on the grid than I would like. And also, as you say! ppl drop out of the league, so to not have reserves to take their place, just reduces the number of drivers racing.
At this point, I'd probably agree with 50 being a decent cut-of point!
