Hi @McPhilen

Have few questions related to rules.

----------------------------------------------
Race sessions will be based on the following format this season:

  • 70 minute practice beginning from 19:20 (UK time)
  • 3 lap/10 minute solo qualifying beginning from 20:30 (UK time)
  • Approximately 40 minute feature race (time depending) beginning from 20:40 approx (UK time)
  • 10 minute practice beginning from 21:30-21:40 approx (UK time)
  • 1 lap/5 minute solo qualifying beginning from 21:40-21:50 approx (UK time)
  • Approximately 25 minute sprint race (time depending) beginning from 21:50 approx (UK time).
Race distances will be based on time, due to the structure of the race night.
--------------------------------------------
Question: Line in red. Last week there were 30 minutes session what caused couple of people do not took Q for sprint race due to manual advancing by server admin. Will this be regular and drivers have to be in VR(who use it) whole time to do not miss it or it will be set for 10 minutes as per rules?

---------------------------------------------------
Weather/Track Conditions:

Weather setting will be replicated based on what is used in the Thursday practice session,
which itself is determined prior to the session with a random number generator to make sure the Thursday practice session is the same conditions exactly as the race night. The conditions as they are at the start of the session are what will be carried over to the race night, and will be posted in the race thread soon after the Thursday practice ends. This same weather can be found on the results page from the Thursday practice.

Starting track state will be automatically generated, which usually ends up as Moderately Low Usage.

There will be one mandatory pit-stop for tyres (fuel is optional, depending on starting fuel load) in the feature races. There will be no fuel cap for the races. The sprint races will have no mandatory pit-stop for tyres or fuel. Every driver must change all four tyres, and must not be completed on the last lap.
-------------------------------------------------
Question: Line in red. last week there were no practise session therefore. Is this be like that every time or was forgotten?

Thanks
Jan

@Briz0wn Ah, that's just another thing I forgot to delete from the copy over from F3. So, there isn't a dedicated practice session for this league anymore (and there wouldn't have been for the F3 either) because there is now the Touring Car Championship which is in the Thursday slot, and to be honest the practice sessions weren't highly used anymore (usually maxing out around 8 people). They were there originally because the weather was indeed carried over from that session, however all sessions now run on dynamic weather, so essentially the same was as the official practice sessions are run.

I hope this helps.

This is great combo we have this week! So much fun with those fast corners with this car :)

The practice session is 10 minutes. It says 30 in the session because when using the Beta UI, it makes you fill up the whole length of the session time, so we have to set the practice to 30 minutes, but then skip it after 10. We did this in the F3 as well. :)

Hi Phil, just a question about the session times. Would it be worth starting the feature race practice session an hour or so earlier (in game time, not real life time) so that qualifying and race session times are more in line with the official sessions rather than starting 70 minutes later? It probably won't make much difference this week as it's in the middle of the day, but for Barcelona and I imagine any other morning/late afternoon races we will end up racing in very different conditions to any of the official sessions as races will be starting more than an hour later. I haven't checked this season's times, but for late afternoon races it might even cause issues with running out of daylight.

Not a huge deal either way but I thought it was worth bringing up.

Great info, this should be written in rules as an infor so drivers do not get confused. People who did not raced F3 here can't know this :)

The rules do say it's a 10 minute session though, but I'll put the little bit extra in there to help out.

Seriously though IDK even what happened in that last race... I had the pace to get the elusive podium and then just dropped off a bloody cliff. So disappointed.
