The ‘Blue Hell’ seemed only to increase their desire so to Catalunya with Gr. 3 cars, cried I, but yet again their fire only increased. Will nothing rid me of these meddlesome creeps? Fine, fine, to Mount Fuji with Gr. 2 and Circuit de la Sarthe with Gr. 1 but, no. More they wanted… Oh, I give up. Greetings of the Seasons and welcome to the Gran Turismo Sport League Xmas Cup here at Apex Online Racing. This will be a four round tour of some of the most iconic circuits in the world featuring cars from all four race car groupings in Gran Turismo Sport.

Starting Thursday December 6th, 2018 each race for the Xmas Cup will start promptly at 7:45pm UK time lasting 40 minutes and preceded by a 15 min qualifying session -or- a Time Trial submission depending on the number of driver sign ups. The Open Lobby Room opens at 7pm for practice and in order to ensure the best experience for everyone involved it is strongly suggested that all drivers enter the lobby at least 20 minutes before the event start time.
If you are unable to attend a race please contact a league coordinator at least 1 hour prior
to the event start time.

In the event of 20+ participants (16 full time drivers + 4 reserve drivers) multiple race rooms will be created each with their own dedicated coordinator. For example if there are enough sign-ups to fill 3 rooms (total of 48) the top 16 fastest qualifiers would report to room #1, 17-31 would report to room #2 and finally, 32-48 would report to room #3.

If we are less than 20 drivers (16 + 4 reserves) everybody will race in Race Room 1 and a win will subsequently produce 80 points. If there are more than 20 drivers we will split into two Race Rooms, the first half will go to Race Room 1 and the other half will go to Race Room 2. The winner of Race Room 1 will get 80 points and the winner of Race Room 2 will get 55 points. All rooms will award one (1) additional point for Pole Position and for fastest lap during the race.
Any car classed as the appropriate Group Number for each round (See Calendar for details) by the game is eligible to participate. Balance of Performance (BoP) will be used, and Set-Ups are prohibited.

Qualifying will be conducted in one of two ways depending on the number of driver sign ups. If there are 20 drivers or less a 15 minute (+ remaining lap) qualifying round will proceed the feature race. This will be a group qualifying session similar to that used in Formula 1 which means drivers are responsible for creating and maintaining their own space during the qualifying round and as long as a driver has crossed the start/ finish line before the 15 minute limit the lap will be counted as valid. Laps started after the 15 minute limit will NOT be counted as valid. Once the time period has elapsed (you will be notified by the coordinator when time is up) please DO NOT sit in the pits. If you are in the pits at the end of the session please drive out past the sector 1 timing split and find a place to park off track. This will ensure everyone will be lined up properly at the start of the race and help prevent drivers being stuck on the grid and/ or auto-drive at the start of the race.
For 21 or more driver sign ups qualifying will be determined through the Time Trial function in the offline Arcade Mode. As there is no way to police setups or tyre choice it is recommended that drivers use Racing Super Soft tyres. Setups may be used for qualifying but keep in mind that they will be prohibited for the races. BoP however, will be enforced through the means used to post your time trial times.
When you are satisfied with your time trial, post a screenshot of the Time Trial Ranking Board to the appropriate race thread in the AOR GT Sport forum. A valid entry must contain the following:

will not be accepted.

For league related enquiries or questions, your first point of contact should be a staff member within the Race Room you have qualified for - or the League Coordinator. Upon joining a Race Room, it will be made clear who your Race Room Coordinator is.
Example reasons to contact them could be:

● To get information about your Race Room
● If you are unhappy about something, either with regards to a race or on the forums
If you have an issue with your League Coordinator and would rather discuss the issue with someone else, then seek out another person from the below list and address the issue to them. Our Coordinators and Moderators are expected to remain completely unbiased, and as long as you address the situation sensibly and maturely they will be happy to discuss any issues no matter who it is with.
