This going to be great. Tricky but great. T1, T2/3, T5/6, T8/9/10 are all corners, that require some careful throttle control. If You don’t, You’ll fall off and be lost. And laps are not that long, so You’ll have do it a lot of times.
I’m exited, what about You?

Yip, me too. Got some proper track time yesterday. This track was a lot easier to get the hang of but still technical enough to be very engaging. After my good session I can at least say that I know this track, which is always good!
Looking forward to this one.

What lap's are You getting round here? I got a 1:28.0 on those few laps after the race Thursday - On RM's I think?

Question: Just wondering co-ords whats the official stance the stewards are taking with track limits of T7 or aka 'big banky boi'?

Bearing in mind this was the stewards/co-ords view from Season 4:

Personally considering we're gone by the game's pen system it means in this instance, I feel I have no choice other then taking the 'sport mode pleb' line at T7 this season, as if I don't then I'm giving away free time to those that do - so its a case of damned if I do & damned if I don't, but if everyone's in the same boat then at least its a level playing field.

So I would like clarification on whether that above still applies or whether where sticking to a 'boys have at it approach' (at T7) this season?

You could always take the line through the sand pit if your unsure. :)

You weren’t to know about this till quali started tonight. Apparently the confusion created by the in-game-time-information worked wonders last week and We thought that this could slow You down in a similar way.

No seriously, last time We had this discussion, We decided to go with the in-game-pen and that is what is the rule here too.

Knowing me, I’d try the sport mode pleb line and still end up in the sand :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Last night just didn't go to plan for me at all. Was really looking forward to this one after having some good practice time and happy that I had got to grips with the track. Still really like this track actually but nothing seemed to go well for me. All my fault and didn't get into the zone. Highlight was weaving all over the track like a blind granny and taking the nose off my own team mate!
Awesome.

Despite all that I actually enjoyed the racing and I still had plenty of battles along the way including some good clean paint swapping with Delaney.

Looking forward to next week because it's the one I'm going to win!! :)

Race report:

Qualy - 4th: A much needed better qualy performance, I was up to 2nd near the end and felt I could maybe nick pole, but then Ash lowered the mark by over half a second and then I didn't improve on my last lap, so I ended up 4th.

Feature - 1st: Had a ok start but got ahead of Tubby and then I managed to fend of Bl99dy to keep 3rd in the opening couple corners, after that I was keeping pace with the front 2 but then Hasnain had his issue at the last corner and that moved me up to 2nd, the rest of that stint was pretty static with the gaps basically staying the same to Ash ahead and Bl99dy behind.

But at the end of lap 7 I sort of half lost it on the exit of the last corner and ended up having to pit as a result, I came out just behind Gareth and it took me a lap before I could have a go passing him, which I eventually made stick over a couple corners, then the drivers ahead eventually starting pitting and by lap 12 I was in the lead.

Ash behind was catching me slowly but surely and when it got to lap 14 I decided to pit again, I exited the pits in clean air and then turned the tables on Ash and started to catch him, and when he pitted several laps later I had caught up to him almost, I decided to pit the next lap but I managed to exit the pits still in the lead.

I increased my lead while Ash was battling with Hasnain and once Hasnain got 2nd I had about a 4.5 second lead, however with only 4-5 laps left I knew I just needed to do solid mistake free laps which I did and I won the race. (also with the FL)

Sprint - 2nd: Another action packed sprint race for me but I wasn't really making my way through the field quick, so after a few laps and being stuck towards the back of a Porsche 911 traffic jam I decided to pit very early.

It took me a couple laps to catch Mike first and I got past him and then after that its a bit of a blur lol, once everyone pitted though I was in the lead, but with Hasnain and Delaney behind on much fresher tyres and reeling me in quickly, with 5 laps to go I pitted again and came out just ahead of mrstim in 4th.

I had to fend him of for all of S1 but once I did that I then set my sights on the cars ahead, I began to catch Delaney and Ash and with a few laps to go I pretty much caught the pair of them, Ash got ahead of Delaney and then I also got past Delaney a couple corners later.

I stayed very close to Ash the next lap and wasn't able to have a go, but on the next lap (2nd last lap) Ash got the fast esse's section slightly wrong and went wide, it allowed me to get by him and upto 2nd, as I started the last lap Hasnain had a massive lead and all I could do is bring it home for 2nd.

Looking back at the night, things went very well for me my qualy performance had a much needed improvement, and as for my car's handling it was a hell of a lot better then last week, however its still not quite there but I do feel I'm going in the right direction and getting to grips with it finally.

With the races I actually feel like I slightly overachieved, without Hasnain clipping that wall in the last corner in the feature early on I strongly suspect he would have won the race instead but I ain't complaining, as for the sprint I knew by pitting early I wasn't going to win but I had a lot of fun in the process and still achieved the maximum result possible, so a very good round for me and a first win of the season in this car.

Anyway congrats to Hasnain on his sprint win and feature podium, and well done to Bl99dy & Ash on their podiums.
