Welcome to Portimão, Portugal!

In our first round, we're visiting the Algavre circuit, which took center stage in the footage and teasers leading up to the Project Cars 2 release.
Opened in 2008, the circuit has seen plenty of GT, Moto and Endurance racing and served as F1 test track.

Expect a beautiful, dry day for our first round, with Qualifying under light clouds and the race transitioning from light to medium clouds (real-time weather progression).

Anyone that want to disclose their tire/pit strategy? Feel free. I need help! :)
hard tyres will last the full distance - set pit strategy to repair only, if no damage still quickest pitstop.

hope this helps

Thank you.

I am between hards for the whole race or two stints on softs. Will cost about 15 more secs in the pit with a tire change so need to be about 0,5 sec faster par round on softs to pay off. Currently I am a lot faster on softs compared to hards for at least 10 rounds but might just mean that I have not found a good setup for hards yet. Need to work on that I guess.

Good luck everyone. Unfortunately I fly to the USA on Saturday, so this will be the first of two races I'm going to miss.

Not too disappointed though as I've never really run this track before.

Looking forward to seeing some footage of the race when I get a chance to catch up while I'm away :)

I'll more than likely run the race on hards. It's a lot slippier though, but no chance of that front left overheating.

Create multiple pit strategies and select them from the on screen display in the race - although sometimes PCars2 just does what it feels like for pitstops :(

My dilema is whether to repair engines or not, was in a race where a 67% damaged engine (along with front win and one suspension arm) took over 5 mins to repair.

What are the times for race pace.. my quali run I did last week was a 44.2 and did an invalidated 43.7. So think late 45s to early 46s for race pace?

All, please note the drivers breifing below for Algarve. It is very important that you read and understand the limits... We'll be watching you! ;)

I obviously don't intend to go that wide, but I presume it's for repeat offenders (what defines a repeat offender)? From testing, I've ran over the white lines on T4 if I get understeer, so I presume lifting off the gas a little to try to make the line is preferred to breaking unexpectedly to definitely stay in the lines?
