Welcome to Brands Hatch!

We hope that everyone is looking forward to the start of this season at the well-known Brands Hatch circuit. Last time Brands Hatch hosted an AOR GT3 race we were gifted with a typical British shower. This time however we don't have to find our way around the puddles, as we are just driving under some overcast conditions in both the race and qualifying.

Take it easy in the first race and good luck to all!

Welcome to Monza, a lovely city in the womb of North Italy!

Bask in the glory of the beautiful Villa Reale, take a stroll throught the narrow streets and canals of the downtown and have a taste of Italian food - the best in the world - at the Ristorante Il Centro.
It's time now to walk north and enter the Park of Monza, where - laid between grass and trees - the Autodromo waits for you with its long straights, its iconic chicanes, the historic Parabolica and not just one, but two fast Lesmo corners!

Overtaking will be a lot easier this round with long straights and hard braking zones. The race itself will be in tricky conditions as it will be raining at the start. Even though the rain only lasts about 15 minutes, the track will dry up slowly due to the sun getting blocked by the clouds.

Rain -> Overcast -> Light Cloud -> Clear

Qualifying is in fog

Welcome to Long Beach!

Traditionally the grand prix at Long Beach is held in April and this year our GT3 league is one of the supports series. A street circuit will always come with some extra challenges, even though the track is quite wide at most parts in comparison with some other street tracks. Overtaking will be a challenge, but if you manage to avoid any kind of damage, you will get a good result. The race will take place under the artificial lights as we're driving in the middle of the night. Weather will be heavy clouds for both qualifying and race.

We return to real-time progression for this race.

And remember the wise words from a certain F1 driver:
You have to be alert on a street circuit!

Welcome to Road America!

The first of the two 90 minute races this season. The current championship contenders might have shown that they have some very good raw pace, this time however, they also need to show that they have the race craft and overtaking skills to work their way up through the field. Luckily for them Road America is very suited for overtaking as it consists out of some long straights with heavy braking zones. The race will start in hazy conditions in the early morning after which the sky will slowly get covered with some medium clouds.

Welcome to the Redbull Ring!

A track that will favour the turbocharged cars due to it's high altitude, roughly 700 meters above sea level, and located in the Styrian mountains. This makes for some great scenery and big elevation changes. Additionally the track features some long straights and heavy braking zones, so overtaking is definitely possible. During the race we will have nice summer weather with just a few light clouds to block to sun. Qualifying will be even better with no clouds whatsoever.

Race: Light Clouds
Qualifying: Clear

Welcome to the Nürburgring!

This season we don't go onto the green hell, instead we stay on the GP layout. The track itself provides another good opportunity for the turbo cars to score some valuable points. During qualifying you can enjoy the warm and sunny weather, however nothing is as unpredictable as the weather. Between the qualifying session and the race we will see a dramatic change in weather conditions. The race will start in the rain and the conditions won't improve until after the race.

Race: Rain
Qualifying: Clear

Welcome to Zolder!

A short and narrow track in the Flemish part of Belgium. It's a challenging track that doesn't really provide easy overtaking opportunities. Last time we ran this track we had rain during the race, which resulted in a brilliantly executed strategy for the race win in tier 1. This time the weather doesn't give the opportunity for those kind of strategy calls, as we will only see some heavy clouds but not a single rain drop. However, the mandatory pitstop can still be a crucial factor in this race due to the few overtaking opportunities.

The driver briefing will be posted as soon as possible.

Race: Heavy cloud
Qualifying: Heavy cloud

Welcome to Daytona!

The second 90 minute race of the season. Last season we saw some super close racing at Texas Road. We hope to see the same kind of racing here at Daytona. Unlike the race at Texas Road, the race will not take place in the middle of the night. However we will still be racing in the dark as the race starts at 8PM local time.

UPDATE:

Please note that we have decided to change the weather from fog to medium clouds. Fog would have made it near impossible to see the cars on the broadcasts.

Updated weather is in the original post above.

Welcome to Snetterton!

For the first time in the AOR Project Cars 2 GT3 league we'll be visiting Snetterton, a technical track where car control is key. Especially the third sector can be challenging if the car isn't stable under braking. To make all of this even more difficult it will start raining half way through the race.

Weather Update:

After some feedback we have decided to change the rain to light rain. We understand that this is a bit short notice, but we feel this will provide a better racing experience. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Welcome to CotA!

No rain this time, but still tricky conditions due to track temperatures that don't favour a specific kind of tire. Some can make the soft tires work, while others can't imagine using softs for a whole race.

Qualifying: Clear
