Please read the starting procedure that we will do for the race

- Normally we all start in the position we have qualified in. But since we have a starting order that is based on the reversed championship standings for this round, we need to place ourselves correctly during the formation lap. When the lights go out, everybody starts to move slowly around 10mph (16kph). Remember to stay as far to the left or right on the track to make it easier for cars to pass. Remember your starting position (obviously) but also who is in the position right in front of you. We should easily be able to be in correct order before reaching Tertre Rouge (see picture, red arrow).

- Once the leader of the single file train has pulled away, they can accelerate up to a speed of 80mph/130kph 124mph/200kph and will then maintain that throughout the lap, slowing down clearly and gradually for any corners that require slower speeds, and then accelerating up to the limit of 124mph/200kph. The rest of the drivers in the train are to follow the leader around the lap, sticking to a similar pace and maintaining safe distances (around 5 car lengths) between drivers for tyre and braking warming.

Does this mean that weather should be sync to race instead then? At least in the practice on Monday it sounds like it stayed wet till the end which I guess would line up with real time weather being 1 hour per slot if I'm not mistaken? Not sure exactly when it got properly wet but my PC crashed about an hour in and it had only just gotten to the point where I would have said it had fully transitioned to wet.

The weather will be sync to race. So it should be 1/3 for each, lap 7 rain and lap 15 dry. Monday practice raised the issue about real time progression

It was reported that in the rain, you can go out of the track limit, have a penalty and have to do nothing to get rid of it.
We ask drivers who gain time with that to lift off a bit to show that you know you have a penalty and you tried to get rid of it.
If the driver gains time doing that, this will be investigated at the end of the race.

What a mess. Game stuttered badly and spun twice because of that. Still tried to salvage some sort of finish but managed to get DQ'd by pressing wrong button trying to engage pit limiter.
