Official Statement - 24/10/19 - 8:02PM BST

It was brought to our attention that, during the Rally of Sweden, @CRsedmicky has been seen leaving stage, where there was no service, unattended for a long period of time. After questioning @CRsedmicky not only confirmed these findings, but also pointed out that this wasn't against any rules as mentioned in AOR's Rules and Regulations for the AOR Rally Championship. After a formal meeting between all @DiRT Coordinator, we have come to the conclusion that @CRsedmicky's actions, albeit immoral and unsportsmanlike, did not break any rules as stated in the Rules and Regulations. Therefor @CRsedmicky will not be disqualified from any past events, where he may or may not have committed similar actions.

That said, AOR agrees that these actions should be illegal and have therefor added a new rule to the Rules and Regulations:
  • 2.1.2.
Deliberately leaving a rally, regardless of reason, is not allowed, unless done so at a service. Anyone found doing so will be disqualified.
This, rule 2.1.2, will go into effect at the start of the Rally of Wales on Monday November 4th 2019.

On top of that, AOR understands that because no matter what decision is made, one party will be treated unfairly, one way or another. Therefor we have unanmously decided to void the results of the Rally of Sweden, and to re-run the rally between December 16th and December 22nd. This means that any times set in the active rally between October 21st and October 28th are null and void. This goes for both the Pro and the Rookie Tier participants.
