General Information
This thread contains all of the rules that apply to racing in all of the official AOR Rally Leagues. Our rules are in place to help us enforce a good league experience and to ensure people are taking it seriously.

Because there isn't any direct racing with other drivers, the rules below are mostly regarding general behaviour and league participation.

1. Game Penalties

1.1.
AOR will enforce the time penalties that are handed out by the game and in most cases these penalties will stand. In rare cases a penalty could be changed or erased at the DiRT Coordinators' discretion, reasons for this could be:
  • Technical Malfunction
  • Game Bug/Glitches
More often than not Coordinators aren't aware or made aware of these issues, but if made aware they reserve the right to edit penalties as they see fit.

1.2.
The game hands out penalties for jump starts, hitting spectators, going out of bounds, getting stuck and cutting beyond the limit.

2. General Behaviour
2.1. Rage Quitting

2.1.1.
Deliberately quitting a rally in any way - whether that is by quitting through the pause menu, getting yourself disqualified, deliberately crashing your car or retiring at a service area - is not allowed, unless you have a very good reason for doing so. The Coordinators can't control whether or not drivers do this, but it's everyone's responsibility to put their best effort towards the league in order to promote sportsmanship.

2.2. Forum Activity

2.2.1.
Whilst you are a driver in any AOR league, you are required to be an active member of the AOR forum, meaning you have to stay up-to-date with relevant posts in whichever league you're participating in. Any information uploaded to the forum is considered general knowledge and not being aware of this isn't excusable.

2.2.2.
As a member of the AOR community, you are required and expected to behave in a respectful manner on both the Forums and in the official AOR Discord Server. Please avoid name-calling, baiting or any behaviour that may aggravate other members of the community.

3. Participation & Blacklist
3.1. Missing Rallies

3.1.1.
If you are unable to attend a rally, it is your responsibility to give a DiRT Coordinator a notice before the rally ends. This is done by contacting any DiRT Coordinator on either the Forums on in the official AOR Discord Server.

3.1.2.
When informing a Coordinator of your absence, you are required to state a proper reason as to why you are unable to attend the current/next event. If no reason is given then any absence will be marked as an uninformed absence.

3.1.3.
If you reach a number of 3 or more uninformed absences, it is up to the Coordinators' discretion whether or not to allow you to compete in the league and participate in upcoming leagues.

3.2. Pulling out Mid-Season

3.2.1.
If you have to pull out of the league in the middle of the season, you are required to inform a Coordinator about your situation, with a proper reasoning behind your withdrawal from the league. If no proper reason has been given the Coordinators will put you on the blacklist, which will ensure you won't be competing in any upcoming seasons.

3.2.2.
It is impossible for us to stop you from leaving a league if you've already made up your mind, but keep in mind that when you signed up to participate in this league, you committed yourself to racing for a full season.

3.2.3.
If you find yourself in a situation where you're not enjoying the league because you're too slow or too inconsistent, contact a DiRT Coordinator or even other drivers and explain the situation to them. In doing this they may have some feedback/solutions to help you.

3.3. Blacklist

3.3.1.
Once a driver has been put on the blacklist it means that you'll be unable to sign up to other leagues in the future. Be aware that this can also affect sign-ups to other leagues on AOR.
