Official Announcement
In light to the recent outages of the Clubs network on DiRT Rally 2.0, the organization of the ApexOnlineRacing Rally Championship has decided to open up a thread where participants can notify them if their runs have been affected in any way whatsoever by the outages. We will try to manually calculate as many of the times we get given per screenshot/recording, given they verify it's been done in the event itself.

If the number of participants affected are over a certain limit set by the organization Round 5 (Argentina) of the ApexOnlineRacing Rally Championship will be cancelled and re-run at a later date. This however is not yet the case, so for now we ask people to please do their times before the weekend, and most preferably early in the morning, if possible. This should avoid any downtime, given the server traffic is significantly slower at those times.

Until further notice this advise is also in effect for all subsequent rallies. We will continue to monitor the situation and we will notify you if anything changes.

In light of the developing situation, the organization has decided to cancel the current round and make changes to the current calendar. Argentina will now take place between Germany and Scotland, as seen here (https://apexonlineracing.com/community/threads/aor-rally-dr2-0-season-2-calendar.62078/). Please stay up-to-date with these changes to the calendar and length of the season. All media threads and spreadsheets will be changed over the rest of the week.

As for next week, if these issues continue, similar actions will be taken to re-structure the season to accommodate for a re-run of Monte Carlo, if we deem it necessary.

After monitoring the situation further during this week, we've decided that, due to the large scale outage on saturday and the overall instability on sunday, that a substantial amount of the participants was either hindered in participating, or couldn't at all. Therefor we've decided on two outcomes:
  • There will be no penalties for not handing in recordings of Power Stages for this round
  • All points gained this round will be divided by 2, and then rounded up, to mitigate the possible damage to the championship standings.

Due to the recent issues surrounding clubs and racenet, we have come to the difficulty decision to postponed Round 8: New Zealand and all rounds after that. Meaning that there won't be any running done until the game has recovered from these issues. We feel justified in making this decision as the current situation doesn't allow for a fair and professional environment to hold these events.

We hope you at the very least understand this decision. We'll keep you notified of when things will be continuing. As for sign-ups, I am opening them once again, if anyone wants to get in on the fun when it does continue.

Due to recent positive signs from our racenet/clubs observations, we're announcing that we're starting again next week (April 20th - April 26th). In our efforts to spread out numbers as much as possible, these rounds will each last two weeks. However due to that we've decided to cut 2 of the 7 remaining rounds to keep our Championship within the schedule. We voted on this matter within the organization, and we have come to the conclusion that Scotland and Poland will not be run this season. Though this exclusion means that they'll be included in the next official rally season, which they originally were not going to be.

Finally we'd like to make an announcement regarding future cancellations, as of this moment, no more rallies will be cancelled. If racenet and/or clubs do decide to act up, the most we'll do is halve the amount of points given out to participants of the event. On top of that, we'll try to rectify damage done as much as possible. In order to achieve this we ask you to record all of your stages, so that we may make alterations to any results that do get skewed due to connectivity issues. Furthermore, when encountering these issues, please follow these steps:
  1. If you encounter such issue at the start of a stage, keep trying to connect. If you back out it will DNF you from that stage, and without you having run it, we are unable to rectify the damage done.
  2. If you encounter such issue at the end of a stage, we recommend you check the clubs website and see if it at the very least uploaded your times.
    • If it did, you are free to back out to the main menu, and you'll be able to continue your rally from there without any consequences.
    • If it didn't, we recommend you to try for at least 5 minutes to connect yourself. If this is to no avail, please contact us with the recording of the stage and we'll do some calculations to work out your final event time (if you finished).
