Tier Structure

This season there will be only one championship, that being the Modern Championship. This Championship is split into two tiers, which are Rookie and Pro. On top of these there will also be a public AOR Classic club which will host weekly events featuring the best of the classic cars that DiRT 4 has to offer.

In the Pro Tier of the Modern Championship the fastest and most consistent drivers will compete for the title of AOR Rally Champion. In this tier there will be raced with R5 cars, the fastest and most modern rally cars DiRT 4 has to offer. In order to be able to compete in this league you must be granted a Pro License by a DiRT Coordinator.

In the Rookie Tier of the Modern Championship the lesser experienced and slightly slower drivers will compete for the title of AOR Rookie Champion, but their main goal will be to improve their pace and consistency to eventually make it into the Pro Tier and challenge for the championship. In this tier there will be raced with the Up to 2000cc cars, which offer a good foundation to expand the driver's rallying skills on. In order to be able to compete in this league you must have a Rookie License.

After last season the pre-season has been absolished, each new drivier will start in the Rookie Tier with a Rookie License, if you have finished the championship in the top 3 of Rookie Tier then you'll be given a Pro License. However if you end up last in the Pro Tier (starting Season 4) you'll be dropped back to the Rookie Tier with a Rookie License.

Rally Classification

Points system:

The point system we will be using this season will be based on the points systems of the WRC, as follows:
  1. 25 Points
  2. 18 Points
  3. 15 Points
  4. 12 Points
  5. 10 Points
  6. 8 Points
  7. 6 Points
  8. 4 Points
  9. 2 Points
  10. 1 Point
● Power Stages:

This season we'll be introducing Power Stages into the Rally format. Power Stages will function like they do in WRC, the last stage of each rally will server a secondary purpose aside from being a normal stage. On top of it's normal function the top 5 of that stage will receive the following points:
  1. 5 Points
  2. 4 Points
  3. 3 Points
  4. 2 Points
  5. 1 Points
These points will count towards the Drivers' and Constructors' Championship standings.

DNF / DNS:

What is important in this league is aiming at completing the events. Getting a DNF because of for example having an unrecoverably car is obviously nothing to do anything about but otherwise it's important to complete the events. Either DNF / DNS is seen negatively. Enough DNS' can also result in getting removed from the leagues. You can read about this in the league rules.

Championship standings

● Drivers and constructors are ranked in the standings based on how many points they've scored over the course of the season.

● If two or more drivers or constructors are tied on points, the higher place in the standings will be awarded to the holder of most first places. If the number of first places is the same, the holder of most second places, then third places, and so on until a winner emerges.

Who to Contact

We have a number of DiRT Coordinators for you to contact. All coordinators are responsible for each league, however, the co-ordinators have been given specific leagues to have more input on. If you want to speak about something directly concerning the platform you're on, it may be good to contact a coordinator that is on that platform.

Example reasons to contact them could be:

● To inform them that you're missing a round
● To get information about your league
● If you are unhappy about something, either with regards to a rally or on the forums
