AOR welcomes everyone to the third rally season on DiRT Rally 2.0. This season you'll see drivers of all levels, nationalities and platforms driving against each other across 10 different events to determine who is the best rally driver AOR has to offer.
After our experiments in Season 2, featuring two Rookie Tiers, we have decided to scale it back down to a single Rookie Tier. However there'll still be a twist, as we'll see Rookie- and Pro Tier participants take on each other in the same club, due to both tiers featuring the R5 class. This means that everyone will be participating in at least 2 out of 3 championships. These championships are the Pro- and Rookie Championships, with the addition of the new and exciting official ApexOnlineRacing Rally Championship.
As all Championships take place in the same club, they'll all be using the same calendar and event layout, featuring the exact same stages and conditions. All the times will be inputted directly into our spreadsheet by our lovely DiRT Coordinators (for which we're always seeking extra volunteers). These times will then be sorted by the spreadsheet, and made available to you on the numerous Results and/or Standings threads.
We hope the merging of the clubs will bring us nothing but exciting battles throughout the season. But there's one thing we know for sure, we will once and for all find out who is the best rally driver in AOR.
This season will consist of 10 rallies, each featuring 10 stages, of which the last stage will function as a Power Stage. These stages will all vary in length, complexity, weather- and surface conditions. Each rally has its own unique layout, meaning that services aren't always after or before the same stage as other rallies. These variations will truly put the skill of all participants' to the test, ensuring that we'll be crowning the best drivers as champions at the end of the season.
As mentioned before, the tenth stage of each rally is consider a Power Stage. This means that the 5 drivers with the fastest stage time of each championship, will gain between 1 and 5 extra points for their respective championship.
All participants will be able to set a time between Monday 12:00 BST (noon) and the following Monday 12:00 BST (noon), essentially giving all driver a whole week to complete all stages. If a driver doesn't finish his/her stages before this deadline, he/she will be classified as a DNF (Did Not Finish).
