Sign ups for Season Three of the AOR Rocket League Championships have officially now opened to all players on the PC and PS4 platforms.
Teams of three will battle it out on the much loved car football game in a new Champions League style format, with promotion, relegation and glory all at stake this time around. As in previous seasons, each fixture will be decided through playing three games per match, with one point being awarded to the winner of each match. The exact format the season will depend on the sign ups, but as in the Champions League there will be a group stage followed by a finals for the teams who qualify for them.
Season Three will once again see @King-kodiak return to the commentary booth to stream all matches that are played in designated slots on Tuesday nights. In edition to streaming, he will also be uploading a Match of the Day styled highlights video, to showcase all of the games played through each round of the season.
The sign ups for this season will close at the end of the second week in October, giving plenty of time for practice for new and old competitors ahead of the new season. Following the minimum of 10 team sign ups the season will then begin roughly a week later, in a format designed around the amount of teams participating.
Since we will be using server hosts there is no connection speed requirement, meaning that absolutely anyone with the game on the PC or PS4 platform is able to sign up from across the globe! If a competitive league on this fun adaptation of car football sounds like something you'd enjoy then make sure to check through our league information before signing up either by yourself, or with your friends in a team.
