@Dan Hawkins currently having problems on google chrome while on the website. Where the advert at the top of the page when you scroll down it overlaps and leaves you with very minimal view of the actual page.

Are you aware of this??

There are more ads here now than on pornhub. Even full page ads and hovering ads on mobile that move with page when scrolling and causing scrolling to stutter even on Qualcomm 855, no idea what people with weaker SoC's are doing.
Because of that I'm visiting this forum now only when I get a notification, so I doubt your ad revenue is higher than before making this forum a pain to use. Really sad to see where it's going, it was one of the best forums...

It looks to me like some google adslots that weren't working before now are. I'm not sure if having that large an ad in the sticky sub nav was intentional or not but it doesn't look great.

[Not sure if there's a more applicable forum to mention these issues/bugs in]

how would you know.....
I visit pornhub more often than aor now. I blame aor for my porn addiction.

On a positive side, it seems the performance killing hovering banner has been removed from mobile, but as I'm already addicted it was too late for me.

Edit: nevermind, the crappy hovering banner is back.

Just FYI Ublock Origin Chrome add-on blocks the massive banner and some others, it makes the site usable but ofc now AOR doesn't get the potential ad revenue.

I guess it's true that if you get too greedy then you get nothing.

Agree it looks terrible and annoying that the adds are also between posts and they are huge on the screen :(
Firstly, hello over a long time.
Secondly, it's not only that it looks bad (on PC), but on mobile it is performance impacting and also gets in the way of navigation and that's where I draw the line.

There is an option to get rid of all adds, you could take an AOR subscription https://apexonlineracing.com/community/account/upgrades ;)
There is also a free option, add blockers. But is it really OK that a league website is forcing us to consider such options? I personally don't think so. I'm genuinely avoiding going to this forum on mobile now and not too long ago I thought it's one of the best forums to use on mobile...

No it is not and i'm strongly against such an thing.
The site/forum needs to be easy to navigate through without huge adds popping up on every page/thread without paying for it.

That's one of the reasons why it needs to be fixed...people are not coming back if you get the adds taking over your browser.

And this is how I need to type. It's clear that someone wants me to miss a key and make money for them... (I didn't)

just a suggestion which would make life a bit easier and save a bit of time - would it be possible for private messages to default to

'Allow anyone in the conversation to invite others' ?

i am regularly getting pms (particularly from new members) that i would like to share with other cods and can't because this is off, meaning i have to create a new message and add the people i want to see it. this may be minor but it does get a bit annoying - i have had to do it twice already today
