AOR XB1 F5 League - Season 16
Driver Introduction Thread

Hey and welcome to the AOR F1 Leagues!

Use this thread to introduce yourself to your fellow competitors for the coming season!

Some general questions you can answer to get the ball rolling:

1. Who are you? (Tell us a bit about yourself - name, age, nationality, racing equipment, etc)
2. What's your previous league racing experience?
3. What are you expecting & hoping to achieve in the season ahead?

Feel free to add anything else you feel like sharing as well.

We wish you all the best of luck for the season ahead and hope you will get to have some clean and enjoyable racing on track!

Evening guys, I’m Connor or CBro. I’m 21 and Swedish, although currently living in the UK. I’ve been a pad user for most of my time on F1 however I recently made the switch to wheel where I’m not yet fully up to pace.

Last season was my first in AOR and I was lucky enough to be placed in F3 last season where I managed a win and a few podiums. I also race in WOR and TSRL and have done for the past year or so.

I want to get a few more wins to my name this season. I’m definitely considered a ‘Time Trial Merchant’ and that will probably show throughout the season with my race pace. My target for this season will be 150 points with some wins along the way.

When it comes to my racing, I’m pretty easy going. I have the attitude of not being to bothered if someone crashes into me. If you do then I’ll probably have a laugh with you about it after the race... at the end of the day, it’s only a game :)

Pop us a follow or a DM on Twitter if you fancy a chat, my @ is WORCBro47.

I’ll look forward to racing you all throughout the season!

Thought I'd do this again since it's been a while since I was last here.

1. Who are you? (Tell us a bit about yourself - name, age, nationality, racing equipment, etc)

I'm James, otherwise known as Maestro or the Stats Man, as those who follow me on Twitter will know. I'm 16 (17 next week) from the UK.
I'm one of the last remaining people in the community using the Mad Catz Pro Racing Wheel (as everyone else's broke) - I wouldn't be surprised if mine gave up the ghost soon too as I have had it for over 3 years.

2. What's your previous league racing experience?

I've raced in a few leagues since I started on F1 2015, mainly The F1 League and FormulaXbox where I've had a few solid races but only one season where I got it together and finished 2nd in The F1 League Championship. Also raced with AOR briefly in season 11 (and season 12, but we don't talk about that). Did a few races in GP2 (1st x3, 2nd x1) before moving up to F1 where I got 3 more podiums including a 1-2 at Brazil with Brendon Leigh to wrap up the constructors.

3. What are you expecting & hoping to achieve in the season ahead?

The tier looks very competitive and I'm expecting close fights throughout the season, that said, I am aiming for regular podiums and maybe the odd win.

Very much looking forward to the season ahead and hope everyone gets on well and has an enjoyable one :)

1. Who are you? (Tell us a bit about yourself - name, age, nationality, racing equipment, etc)

Hello all. I’m Ryan, an 18 year old from Suffolk. I’m a pad user and always have been, the thought of switching to the wheel interests me but not enough to go out and buy one as of yet.

2. What's your previous league racing experience?

I competed in the top Assits league last season in AOR S15 and had a very mediocre season. Experiencing a single podium over the season. However, I have recently switched to no assits (expect line) and have made huge amounts of progress so I am looking forward to some great racing this season!

3. What are you expecting & hoping to achieve in the season ahead?

I’m not expecting much in terms of results this season. I am just hoping to improve throughout the season mainly with consistency. Can see some familiar and quick names so looking forward racing with you all!

See you out on track!

1. Who are you? Hello people, My name is Callum or as you may know me tR Malta. Im 19 years old. My Birth country is Malta but i live in West Sussex in the UK. I use a Pad at this current time. I was planning a move onto wheel for this upcoming season but my wheel was faulty and therefore i am forced to use a pad.

2. What's your previous league racing experience? This is my 4th season of AOR now as i started in Assists League 2 in Season 13. for Season 14 i was in F5 and in Season 15 i was in F4. Returning to F5 for this season, im on familar ground. I have the dubious honour of never winning or recording a podium in AOR that wasn't assists. This sums up my racing career >xD
Along with AOR i have raced in SRL, LCR and TSRL. all established leagues where i learned to race.

3. What are you expecting & hoping to achieve in the season ahead?
Being Honest with myself,I dont expect much considering the competitiveness of the field and if i score a podium in this league i will do a shoey. if i can finish anything other than last in the championship i will take that as a victory.

Good luck to everyone in the league and i hope i will be able to have some incredible moments in this league.

Hi I'm Luke, I'm 22 from the UK, and I race on a pad.
This will be my 4th season in AOR, in my first season I was essentially learning no assists besides line so the results weren't there except a miraculous 4th round Belgium. S14 I ended with a win and 3rd in the championship which was a bit lucky but my consistency paid off. Unfortunately last season I wasn't as competitive but I did pick up a few points here and there and my pace was still improving so I can't be too disappointed given the pace of the field.
This season as with every season I mainly hope to have fun, but a couple of aims I'll be hoping for are to get a couple of podiums, and try to qualify on the front row, as I've yet to do that in AOR as I'm far from a qualifying specialist, although I know that will be difficult with the strength of the league.

Hi guys, my name is Emil (you can call me Teak), I'm 21 years old and from Denmark. I race on a pad, so it's gonna be a tough season but hopefully I can make the most of it. I started played F1 online when I was in xmatygs noob journey and when that was done I decided to join AOR and have raced in the league for a few seasons now, I was in F2 for S13 and in F3 the last two seasons.

I did okay last season scoring some points here and there, so hopefully I can improve this year and add another podium to my very lonely one from Japan S14. Seeing that a few from F3 last season are in this tier aswell I guess it's gonna be a lot like last year with me somewhere in the midfield but you never know. I'm a very poor starter so if you start behind me be extra aware of a slow car in front ;)

I have also done race highlights for a long time now and post them on my YouTube channel, so if you wanna go over there and watch during the season I would be very happy :) Besides that I just look forward to having some fun this season and hopefully some good battles with all of you :)
