AOR Project CARS GT3 Leagues - Season 2
XB1 - Sign-Up Thread

Current sign-up status:
The leagues have now been announced for Season 2, but it is still possible for new drivers to sign up! Whether it will be possible to get into a league straight away will depend on the amount of spaces available.

Introduction:
After a short but exciting first season of the AOR GT3 leagues, we are back with a refreshed and extended calendar for Season 2! We'll be taking advantage of the variety of closely matched cars in the GT3 class for a 10-round season featuring an hour-long race every Wednesday!

What's new for Season 2?
The new season builds on the experience of Season 1, with various new changes and additions being applied for Season 2, all of which can be found below:
  • Race calendar has been increased to 10 races instead of 6 to make it feel more like a proper season.
  • Most circuits on the calendar are new for this season, with only a couple of tracks carried over from Season 1.
  • Time progression has been set to x10, to give the races a more dynamic feel and take advantage of the game's beautiful time progression system. Most races will start in the morning and end in the evening, however some races will start later and run into night time!
  • Tyre wear setting has been changed to "Real", meaning pit-stops will no longer be forced, unless you are particularly hard on your tyres or suffer damage during the race.
  • Flags & Penalties will now be turned on in the game.
  • The points system has been modified to make it slightly less top-heavy.
  • New rules have been added with regards to how much of the race must be completed in order to score points (90% for full points, 75% for half points).
  • The auto gears assist is now allowed to be used in Tier 2 leagues, but still banned in Tier 1.
  • The wording of a few league rules have been modified slightly (2.1.1 / 2.2.2 / 2.3 / 3.1)

Below you will find more detailed info about the leagues and how to sign up!

Amount of leagues: Each platform runs a set amount of leagues, depending on the amount of drivers signing up at the start of the season.
League setup: In the event of multiple leagues on one platform, the leagues will be tiered, with the aim to have the faster drivers in the higher league(s) and the slower drivers in the lower league(s).
Driver placements: Driver placements for returning drivers will be based mainly on their results and championship position from Season 1. New drivers will be asked to complete a set of time trial laps and will be placed into an appropriate league based on the times they achieve.
Assists: ABS, Stability Control and Traction Control are banned in all leagues. Auto gears is banned in the top tier only.

Can you post your pingtest result please?

Also, do you know when he's back so he can do the same and clarify his assists?

If you're not sure if you're going to be able to commit to racing then it may be an idea to sign-up once you know for sure whether or not you'll be able to commit.

You'll still be able to sign-up mid-season provided there is space available. Joining mid-season sounds more reasonable than joining before you know if you're going to be able to take part and having to pull out.

Driver placements for the leagues will be discussed by the Project CARS team. Because you competed in Season 1, you don't need to do the time trial again, it also doesn't mean you will necessarily be placed in the tier you were before, with some drivers being moved up, some moved down. We'll discuss it when driver placements come round. :)
