This thread contains general information about the AOR Rally Leagues on all platforms (XB1, PS4 and PC), such as league structure, assist restrictions etc.

General Information
● League setup:
This season we have two tiers (world championship and pro championship). The idea with this is to use the pro championship as the base league where everyone is welcome and then have world championship as the more competitive league which will be driven by drivers that we know have good pace and also consistent participation over a full season.
All results & standings are combined from all platform.
● Rally format: Each rally consists of 6 stages. Season is also 6 rounds long.
● Day/time: Every round is opened for a full week (00:00 Monday - 23:30 Sunday) which gives the drivers plenty of time to complete the rallies.

Notable Dates:
● Sign-up opens: 20/02/17
● Season begins: 06/03/17
● Season duration: 6 weeks
● Seasond ends: 16/04/17

Tier Structure & Assists

Because of there being no difference in performance between the platforms on DiRT Rally we have combines results & standings in both tiers.

In the World Championship we have drivers that competed last seasons - put in strong results and good participation. Drivers who got a super license are the one driving in this league (read more about super license further down).

In the Pro Championship we have everyone else. This can be drivers from earlier seasons or completely new drivers. This is also likely to be the bigger league, so competition will still be high.

assists.JPG

TC = Traction Control
SC = Stability Control
ABS = Anti Lock Brakes
AG = Auto Gears
ALC = Automatic Launch Control

The reason for AG and ALC being allowed in WC is because we can't actually detect if these assists are used or not.

Other Information:
Restarts: No
Career Engineers: No
Owned Cars: No
Setups: Allowed
Service: Every two stages

Rally Classification:

Points system:

The points system is yet to be decided but it will be based of the number of signups. Our aim is to award points for a big range of drivers so the lower paced drivers have the opportunity to fight for points as well.

DNF / DNS:

What is important in this league is aiming at completing the events. Getting a DNF because of for example having an unrecoverably car is obviously nothing to do anything about but otherwise it's important to complete the events. Either DNF / DNS is seen negatively and can for example limit your changes of getting a super license. Enough DNS' can also result in getting removed from the leagues. You can read about this in the league rules.

Championship standings:

● Drivers and constructors are ranked in the standings based on how many points they've scored over the course of the season.

● If two or more drivers or constructors are tied on points, the higher place in the standings will be awarded to the holder of most first places. If the number of first places is the same, the holder of most second places, then third places, and so on until a winner emerges.

Super License

The Super License is what you need to be able to compete in the top tier of our leagues. This is practically our way of deciding which drivers gets to drive in which split. Just as any competitive sport we do still want a limited number of participants in our top tier, so having the license doesn't guarantee a spot in the top tier but it is a criteria to have a chance for a spot.

Criterias for a super license*

To get a super licence you have to achieve something of the following during one season:

  • Started 80% (5/6) and completed 60% (4/6) of the rounds + finished within the top 30 at 3 occasions.

  • Started 80% (5/6) of the rounds + either achieved 2 podiums or 1 rally win.

With this system you show that you're commited and that no-shows are an uncommon issue. If you are then good at finishing the rounds you have it easier to get a super license than if you struggle with consistent finishes.

We reserve the right to change the criterias for a super licence between seasons.

*This was the criterias for Super License for season 2. Criterias may change during this season if we feel like changes needs to be made.

Wildcards

Every team in the World Championship will have two wildcards per season. This means that for two rounds in the championship they can bring in another driver to drive in the team along with the 3 primary drivers. For where and for who the wildcard will be used, it's up for the team leaders to decide. Wilcards are not mandatory to use but it's obviously a positive thing to use as there's a chance of scoring more points than just with the three primary drivers.

For the rounds where a team brings in a wildcard, the top 3 drivers in the team will be scoring the constructors points.

The Pro Championship (tier 2) drivers can of course turn down the opportunity if they want to. (if you accept the wildcard the Pro Championship round is then not obligded and you can choose if you want to do that as well or if you want to ignore it)

Who to Contact

We have a number of DiRT Coordinators for you to contact. All coordinators are equally responsible of the two tiers. If you want to speak about something directly concerning the platform you're on, it may be good to contact a coordinator that is on that platform.

Example reasons to contact them could be:

● To inform them that you're missing a race
● To get information about your league
● If you are unhappy about something, either with regards to a rally or on the forums

DiRT Coordinators:

PC
@Race Fanatic

PS4
@DemoN F1
@RBOS_00
@Tigerkart_22

XB1
@The Genius

If you generally want something via a forum post, you can tag us all using @DiRT Coordinator, this is the easiest and fastest way to get in touch with us.
