Disconnect, rejoin, won’t let me take back control... (y) Had half an orange wing for about 15 laps anyway

Not happy at all at three things

A) My PS4 not recording because there's two enquiries here that I have no evidence for.
B) Qualifying. I get it's Monaco but please endeavour to move out the way as quickly as possible. If that's not possible then speed the **** up if you notice someone on a hot lap. Lost about three tenths on my best lap because a Force India didn't notice me on a lap and hestitated a bit in getting out the way.
C) @TheTubbyNinja, I'm pretty sure you had damage judging my how much you were struggling. That's fine, but if you're going to continue on track, be wary of other people around you. I had a run heading to Rascasse and I felt you just squeezed me into the wall, ruining not only my race but your own as well.

As I said, I'm not very happy at all, but there's **** all I can do with no evidence.

meh.
[DOUBLEPOST=1511125806][/DOUBLEPOST]I stayed to the end, and scored 2 points, albeit 2 laps down, but I'm so bad around Monaco and driving it on a pad should just not be allowed xD

Wow.... the pain.

Qualifying: 13th (or something IDK)

Could have been much better. Had set a 1:12.1 but got deleted for corner cutting which was a shame. Could have had a top 8 but pace was there so wasn't too disappointed.

Race: 13th (Unlucky for me)

My first ever finish at Monaco on an F1 game which was what I was aiming for, so that's five from six finishes in AOR S14.

Still..... this race sucked a lot of balls.

Worst part was it started out well. Ran in P11 for a few laps trouble free, except for front wing damage when @advanceapple slowed in front of me trying to avoid my teammate at the hairpin at one point. It was sort of a blessing at the time cause I saw a number of people driving very slowly in front of me, so dived for the pits to get Super-Softs on though copped a five-second pen for being too eager.

Jumped a few people around me to get to P8 at one stage, but after just five laps the car started understeering like a brick. Tyre wear was fine but handling was going all over the show. A number of time penalties and crashes with the wall effectively killed my race as a contest, no points were coming for the Colonel today. So I just simply tried to finish the race - and I did. Lucky to do so though.

Sorry @KaneIyanda if I took you by surprise with my early braking, car was done pretty much.

I'm really sorry about that incident. Was a really bad error from me. I'll give my reason for it not as an excuse but just so you understand why.

Had half yellow front wing for whole race up to that point so was already slow. In the corners before the incident I made the yellow half into a red half so was really slow hence you got a good run. I was desperately trying to switch strategy (press L1 way) but my L1 button doesn't always work so I wasn't fully focused on driving. I didn't notice the run you had on me and didn't notice the red arrows til I had already locked up into the corner on the racing line (which meant I slammed the door shut over-aggressively). I did let you through after the pit stop as a gesture of apology (think I didn't technically have to cuz you had gone past me as a result of the incident). Again, really really sorry. That's just an explanation not an excuse.

Quali: Pole

Wasn't happy with either of my laps but it was just good enough for pole. Had alot more in the tank, was setting constant 1:10.6 in practice. But hay ho pole is pole.

Race: 1st

Nailed the start and was able to pull away very quickly. I think @TheTubbyNinja had damage and was holding people up. Once Roadhouse was in 2nd, I pushed for a few laps to measure my pace. I was able to comfortably pull away. So I started to just play is safe and back off abit. I let myself push on my new tyres hoping I was able to get the fastest lap. Sadly that was beaten later on. @DON SILVA and @JohnnyR95 kept me on my toes at the end. I was fully backed off at the end of the race and both of you at points were right up my rear.

Was a good race, so happy to finally take the bricks off my shoulders with this win. I feel it has been over due for a while. Looking forward to the next few races and putting more pressure on @SolidNinjaSnake ;)

Qualifying: P2

Knew I had decent one-lap pace round here from practice and Time Trial but wasn't sure I'd be able to replicate it when it counted. Knew I could manage a 1:11.000 from practice lobbies (but never actually did one) and I think that's roughly the time I did. Fully jumped with excitement when I saw purple only to have @MattDavies2511 steal it by fractions of a second moments later. Still, I'll take front row at Monaco on a pad any day of the week. (but still, f*** you @MattDavies2511).

Race: P7

A bit meh. (that not enough? okay I'll elaborate)

Remained P2 after first corner and P1 started pulling a gap. I was more focused on finishing than being quick so I didn't care too much. Final sector is where I struggle here and so I hit the wall at the end of lap 1 giving me a yellow half of the front wing. Decided to carry on. ALL ABOARD THE TUBBY TRAIN. Absolutely snailed my way round and ended up losing a couple of position due to small mistakes. (I would like to take full credit for Matt's victory as I held the rest of the field up whilst he blitzed it).

On lap 11, while in P4 the incident (dun dun duuuun) with @Tigerkart_22 occurred (see earlier posts in this thread for more details if you care). From then on I just went to the end on SuperSofts making sure to keep it out the walls. Was extremely slow for the last 10 laps cuz I was being very careful. Thought I would finish P8 but @InFinityzzHD decided he wanted me to have it instead and binned it in the wall on the penultimate lap.

All in all, delighted to score more points and extremely happy to make P2 in qualifying. Maybe the wheel isn't much better than the pad round here after all ;)

Can only go downhill from here.

I'll second that! Pad was playing up with a heck of vibrations after my first stint - car didn't handle well and **** went downhill from there. Story of my Monaco love affair....

Qualifying: 7
I bottled quali. Practice sessions before the weren't nothing to cheer up on, but I thought that I'd carry the pace from a week ago, but it didn't happen.

Race: 3
I knew I had good race pace and but knew a podium is hard from P7. Lost a place in the beginning and I thought to myself, well a top-6 result is fairly good. @TheTubbyNinja made a good train in the beginning and I guessed that he had major wing problems and I knew undercut is the way to go in Monaco, so on lap 9 I pitted for soft. Luckily I got to drive in clean air and thus my undercut worked. I sat in P4 when I thought everyone had done their pitstops and @advanceapple was in P3, in that moment I didn't rememberm whom had stopped who hadn't, so naturally I thought that no podium, again.

Then @advanceapple pitted, and suddenly there I was. Finally to get my first podium. @SolidNinjaSnake was behind me in P4 at that moment. Then I drove a couple of good laps and the difference to @SolidNinjaSnake grew a bit every lap. Then I did a mistake that I never usually in Monaco, crashed and ruined my front wing.

After that it was a struggle to the end. I half spun in sector three, and the difference was only two seconds at worst. I took two dumb penalties and I knew that I'd lost the podium because I knew that @SolidNinjaSnake is like Valtteri Bottas on circuit, gets the job done without any hassle.

Happines ensued when @SolidNinjaSnake had as many penalties as me.

Good race everyone, waiting for Canada.

Highlights coming soon(ish).

Quali: 5th.

Disappointing to say the least considering I was in the 10s all week, but I bottled.

Race: 11th.

I made a decent start and maintained 5th whilst challenging @SolidNinjaSnake for 4th. I was hoping I’d be able to get a move done and move on but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. @TheTubbyNinja lost a piece of his front wing and caused a massive train. After 4/5 laps of this I figured I need to make a move as soon as a gap appears. Coming through the tunnel I went for the inside line (big mistake), I came in too tight and caught my back wheel on the inside wall and then it was at that moment Monaco came gunning for my head.

Let’s just skip all the way to the end, 37 laps & 8 pitstops later I crossed the line. I’m not as sour as I thought I would be having a race like this, it is what it is I guess. I prepared for the race as much as I could but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Congratulations to @MattDavies2511 for absolutely wiping the floor with us, @Roadhouse for yet another fantastic podium and @kovisjimi for making amends for last weekend(y)

Qualifying
First lap was a fairly safe lap of a 12.6, so I went again for a lap and improved to an 11.8. Third lap was only a tenth improvement to an 11.7, so I went for another lap straight after which went terrible. So I went for one more final lap since I had time which went much better and got an 11.2 which I was pretty happy with, more so since at the time I was only 0.084 seconds off pole! However @MattDavies2511 improved his time to keep his hold on pole while @TheTubbyNinja and @Roadhouse both jumped me, dropping me to P4. I was still pretty happy with this considering all week it was looking terrible for me!

Race
Due to expecting to do terrible here, all week I had tried to think of different strategys, one even being to pit on the first lap and run Softs to the end. In the end I decided to stick with the one stop to Super Softs and just see how the race unfolded.

The start was a slightly worrying one as I actually thought I had jumped the start for a split second for some reason. Thankfully I hadn't and held P4 around T1. I didn't even realise @KaneIyanda was near enough next to me heading up the hill until I looked behind! I then moved over to give space but I was able to hold onto P4 as we got to Massenet.

It quickly became apparent that @TheTubbyNinja had damage, as @MattDavies2511 went flying off into the distance, never to be seen again haha. I maybe could have had a go on @Roadhouse at Rascasse Lap 2 but I didn't want to take the risk, especially this early on and stayed put. Lap 3 and Roadhouse gets past TubbyNinja, down the inside at Massenet which I quickly noted as a possibility for myself to pass. I almost went for a move down at the Nouvelle Chicane but held back, while I see Roadhouse start to pull away from TubbyNinja. I knew I had to get past quickly, more so when going through Tabac he lagged backwards where I had to brake hard. Then Lap 4 I accidentally hit the barrier on the exit of T1 and took small damage to my wing... Where I ended up making it worse on the exit of the corner just before Portier... With this damage I was still finding myself to be quicker than TubbyNinja though.

Lap 5 and my chance to pass arrived. @TheTubbyNinja couldn't get around the hairpin and hit the barrier on the outside on the exit, letting me get past. I thought that was going to be it but he fought back to defend, going side by side, bumping our way down to Portier where I did the switchback while @KaneIyanda bumped me from behind (sorry if you got any damage), this let me get a run on TubbyNinja where I went for the inside, he defended causing me to switch to the outside and I managed to get the pass done at the Nouvelle Chicane. If I'm honest I did feel as though it may have been a bit of an aggressive overtake (as in the whole series of events from the hairpin too), but I guess with it being Monaco, nearly all are! But I apologise anyway if you thought it was @TheTubbyNinja. Anyway now was my chance to try and pull away and try and chase down @Roadhouse who was now 6.5 seconds ahead... Unfortunately with my damage, I couldn't pull away as much as I'd have liked to and couldn't even gain on Roadhouse as he continued to pull away. In retrospect, seeing how much I was held up for the first 5 laps, maybe that one stop on the first lap to the softs may have been a good idea? I guess I'll never know.

Lap 10 I lap @KaneIyanda who had just come out of the pits, but on the exit of Casino, I felt a tap on the rear and looked behind to see KaneIyanda hit the barrier. I'm not sure what happened, maybe got caught out by my lack of speed due to damage? But sorry for that incident. =(
Lap 11 I decide to pit, trying to do some sort of under cut on anyone haha, as I expected people to generally pit Lap 14 or 15, so went a bit earlier to try not get held up at all. Unfortunately though, my teammate @Tigerkart_22 decided to pit on the same lap! So he got held up for a while as I had to get my wing changed, as well as I had to wait for a Toro Rosso to pass who had just come in too. Sorry man! =(
I exited in P9 and had absolutely no idea where anyone was or what they were doing haha.

Lap 12 I could have passed @ColonelGaddafi at Rascasse as he tapped the barrier on the exit, but I wasn't sure if he was going to try and pit so I held back. I eventually passed the next lap at Mirabeau? (T5)
Next ahead was @kovisjimi who was on the Soft tyre. I hoped he started on it but unfortunately he didn't and went to the end on them. The rest of my overtakes for position were when they were pitting, except @ii_Deccaaaaa_ii who I caught up to Lap 20 at the hairpin to find he had the DSC cross yet his car was still solid, then when we got around the hairpin a message saying he had left the session popped up and his car ghosted. So I was a bit lucky there. The rest of the race I tried chasing Kovisjimi down but couldn't and I finished in 4th place, just off the podium.

So I'd say that was a good race! Considering I was expecting it to go terrible but I can't complain with 4th! Hopefully I can get back on the podium for Canada. =)
Congrats to @MattDavies2511 on the win! As well as @Roadhouse and @kovisjimi for their podium places! Also a shoutout to MattyD and Roadhouse again for not getting any penalties this race too haha. =)

Nah I didn’t see it as an aggressive move.

At the hairpin I missed the kerb so was painfully slow and too wide leaving the door wide open for you.
Felt we held it cleanly through the next right hander (turn 7?) and then in Portier I went a little deep which gave you a good cut back line.
Out of the tunnel I went defensive but sorta knew my time was up cuz I couldn’t trust my brakes not to lock with the damage (so broke a little cautiously) and was also scared if I fully fought the position that I might catch my rear on the left hander of the nouvelle chicane.
Felt you left a good amount of space for me on the inside but you’d mostly passed me by the time it would have mattered.
